Arnold d'Alger explores the decorative arts through bespoke creations, combining traditional know-how with contemporary research. Founder of Bazar d'Alger in 2019, he draws, engraves and prints on all media and materials that pass through his hands. With pen and gold, he decorates crockery found all over France. On earthenware tiles, he composes large-scale frescoes, while on walls, he applies gold directly with leaf.

His work is distinguished by an approach in which ornament becomes a language, which he combines with other craftsmen in collaborations or places at the service of prestigious houses. Today, he designs and decorates his own unique pieces and casts in stoneware, earthenware and porcelain at Grand Soleil, his new studio dedicated to ceramic creation and production.

Gaëlle Levray, who trained in graphic design and illustration at the École de la Cambre in Brussels, has been decorating entirely handmade tableware since her early professional days. This first approach to ceramics enabled her to combine her passion for illustration with her taste for the art of the table.

Over the years, Gaëlle broadened her field of expertise by moving into production and assistantship, where she deepened her skills while contributing to various creative projects for several Parisian houses. Then came the transmission of her know-how, which led her to teach modeling and spread her love of creation and drawing to her many students.

Arnold and Gaëlle met in April 2025 while working together on a sculpture project for the Mama Shelter in Nice. By exchanging ideas and ideas, they quickly decided to make their dream of Grand Soleil a reality. A workshop for creation, customized production and hosting of extraordinary events. Gaëlle is in charge of the ceramics workshop, a space that hosts modeling, throwing and decorating sessions, as well as her new personal creations illustrated and signed Grand Soleil. Arnold continues to decorate on request on tableware, tiles, walls, paper and now ceramics, while developing the universe and events program of this extraordinary place.
