Monthly Residency Policy – Grand Soleil

1. Residency Plans and Flexibility

Access to the workshop is structured around two monthly, non-binding packages:

  • 40-hour package: €320 incl. VAT / month (approx. 10h/week).

  • 64-hour package: €512 incl. VAT / month (approx. 16h/week).

Hour rollover: To adapt to your creative pace, unused hours during one month can be rolled over to the following month.

Exceeding the package: If you use more hours than planned, the surplus will be deducted from your credit for the following month (or invoiced at the end of the subscription if it is not renewed).

2. Access and Reservations

The residency is accessible during the following hours:

  • Monday - Tuesday - Wednesday: 10 am - 9 pm

  • Thursday - Friday: 10 am - 7 pm

  • Saturday: 10 am - 5 pm

Management via the application:

  • Reservation: Your presence must be indicated on the application to allow us to manage the number of people present (especially for the wheels, of which there are "only" 14 :)

3. Equipment and Supplies

The "all-inclusive" subscription allows for serene independent practice:

  • Equipment: Access to wheels, storage shelves, and dedicated drawers.

  • Small tools: All necessary shaping tools are provided.

  • Decorations: Workshop slips and glazes are included.

  • Firings: Firings (bisque and glaze) are included within reasonable oven occupancy. Loading is exclusively handled by the Grand Soleil team. It is also possible to reserve an entire kiln (upon request).

4. Clay Management

Clay is not included in the package. To ensure the safety of our kilns (high-temperature firing):

  • On-site purchase: Several types of stoneware are available (smooth white stoneware, PRAF, porcelain).

  • External supply: Only authorized after mandatory label inspection by the team before opening the clay block.

5. Admission and Termination

  • Application: The residency is open to independent ceramists. A brief presentation of your project must be sent to atelier@grandsoleil.fr, followed by a meeting with the team.

  • Termination: The subscription is tacitly renewed. To stop or modify your plan, the request must be made at least 7 days before the subscription anniversary date.
